Too Kawaii to Die #5. THE END.

All good things must come to an end, and Too Kawaii To Die, the subversive cute/gross/horror anime zine ends with #5. It's been great to be a part of this bizarre project and work with a dear friend as he cast this wonderfully horrifying vision into the world. Just like every other issue before it, Too Kawaii to Die #5 is free to download, just be warned there is NSFW content. I submitted 2 illustrations to this zine, they're posted below.

I suggest checking out my previous posts about the other 4 issues!

Too Kawaii To Die #1
Too Kawaii To Die #2
Too Kawaii To Die #3
Too Kawaii To Die #4

Looking forward to what Zach does next! These zines were a great excuse to draw whatever the heck I wanted, hoping I'll have a chance to do something like this again!

SPERA Glass Flowers part 17!

I recently had the pleasure of working with writer Josh Tierney on his Spera Glass Flowers webcomic series! I illustrated all of part 17, you can follow the link to the webcomic here: start at PART 1  or go to PART 17.

The Spera site is HERE, and has info on the published books and the series in general. For those of you unfamiliar with the series, it's about 2 princesses who decide to become adventurers and team up with a fire spirit and a warrior cat on their adventures. Pira is the tomboy princess, her mother's up to no good and is most likely the big bad of the entire series. Lono is less inclined to charge at crazy monsters with her sword swinging without thinking things through first.

The Glass Flowers webcomic is about the girls going to a mysterious festival island that's like an immersive theme park, but strange things are going on behind the scenes, and not only is their journey there plagued with nightmares, but by the time they arrive a mysterious character with a creepy face and a wide-brimmed hat seems to want to use the girls to some unknown purpose. I did part 17 out of 20, so it's towards the end of the story, you may want to go and read part 1 onwards first so you're not confused or spoilered. You've been warned!

I hope you enjoyed this chapter of Spera! I had a lot of fun making it and a lot of it was completed while I was travelling so it made for an interesting experience. The fact that the scene was mostly all a dream made it super fun too!

Make sure to check the Spera site for future updates so you can see how the story ends!

Work on "FROM SHADOW" continues

I've super busy these past few months. Including a huge life change that involved me moving and getting a job which I'll be making a separate post about soon. For now I wanted to update you on the current illustration I'm working on from one of my current pitch projects, "From Shadow". Yes I actually have a name for it now and that is exciting because titles are always tricky.

Anyway, here's an excerpt from the current illustration below:
More updates to come!
