Blargh, super sketchy image is super sketchy... anyway, this is an image from yet ANOTHER story that I've been working on. As of yet it does not have an official title, and I have no idea what it will turn into in the end. It could be another comic project, an illustrated novel, or something else. Time will tell I guess. I have plenty of sketches and such that I may post at a later date.

Looking Glass 500 unique views!
Looking Glass has reached 500 unique views on ComicFury! In celebration I made this image.

Man, it's been awhile since I've drawn these guys...
After "chapter 1" has been uploaded I'll be starting the next chapter right away. I have it mostly all planned out. It will read a lot more like a 1st chapter, and in a way it's the real first chapter as this current one was a prototype.

Geode Corner Fan Art
The two main characters from the comic Geode Corner by my good friend Trallt, Amber and Silas.
It's a cute shojo comic about a girl who's saved by a homeless man who turns out to not be so homeless, and more of a con-artist.
It's a lot of fun and very unique. Unique shojos's seem to be in short supply these days so you should definitely go check it out HERE! She's a comicfury compatriot too!
Her Deviantart is located HERE!

Key Fan Art
Just discovered a new webcomic called Key recently. Read all 150 some odd pages in a day and it's still going. It was fun :) and I like the characters too!
So I decided to do a fan art for it! I like all of the 4 main characters, but I think that Jerlorn and Ki are pretty cute, put them together and it's extra cute.
Ki likes warm clothes, and Jerlorn hates sweets. I imagine that they both just came in from the cold and Ki made them hot chocolate... not knowing that Jerlorn hates it. Haha... ah... he's too polite to say otherwise though...
Check out the Key site below!
In other news, this took way longer than I thought it would! I can't even remember the last time I put so much time into something that wasn't a comic page. I gotta do this more often!

Looking Glass Comic site!
ah, I bet you guys thought that I had forgotten about this place, huh? I've been working for the most part on Transpose Operator so I haven't been doing much with Meggido... also... in regards to that... I'm doing an anthology with a bunch of friends(contact us if you want in :D), I'm not using Meggido, but a short story that I came up with 2 years ago and had been meaning to do. It's gonna be 2 chapters long as well. Anyway, I'll talk more about that story at a later date, but why I'm mentioning it is because as soon as that story is done I will officially begin work on Meggido. It's been a long time since I came up with it, but now I have an inescapable deadline that I'm holding myself to. It will be wonderful to finally start on it, but it's a humongous story... so it's going to be a daunting task to undertake, I hope that you'll all follow along with me when I start it. There will be changes from things that I've talked about previously on this blog regarding the story and characters, but I'm sure no one remembers any of that stuff anyway, right?
So yeah, now back to the topic at hand(i.e. the title of this post...), I'm going to be posting Looking Glass on ComicFury, along with Transpose Operator. Updates will be Wednesday and Sunday. Once I get done with chapter 1, chapter 2 might take awhile to get started, for that I apologize in advance, but I guarantee it will be much better than chapter 1.
So without further ado, click the image below to check out Looking Glass at it's new ComicFury home.

Next Adventure fan comic
Been meaning to do this for a long time :) I love Francesca's comic The Next Adventure, if you haven't read it yet go do it now!
This image ended up taking more time than I thought it would, I'm so glad that Transpose Operator isn't in color... I don't understand how she does it.

100th post!
I figured it would be more dramatic, but it's not even an art post but an info post. Kinda lame I know... but there's big news involved... kinda...
Transpose Operator now has it's own comic site. For now the blog is still the main base of operations, but to read actual content this site will be much easier and looks pretty nice actually.
http://transposeoperator.thecomicseries.com/
This comic hosting site has a built in blog for each web-comic that you post. So depending on how well I end up doing there I may remove the current blog in favor of the one combined with the site. We'll just have to see.
Also, my brother has started a webcomic, you should check it out :)
http://www.thatsthejoke.thecomicseries.com/
It's basically about him and his friends. Never thought I'd see the day when he'd have a tablet.
As usual it will have a permanent spot in the links list.

Update
New page on Transpose Operator. I am going to be posting weekly updates on Mondays and Fridays (for realz this time guys...), so check for new comic pages. Gotta start working on a website... I keep saying that but... I NEED to get it done, preferably sooner rather than later.
Also I've been going through Meggido and have been cutting and simplifying things greatly. I still need to finalize a few big decisions and re-write the outline before I can be sure of the storyline now. Not committing to anything at this point though.
Will let you know for sure when I orginize the anthology info and send out an email to all interested parties. Been late on getting this done for various reasons that I won't get into now, but there will be a formal announcement when the time is right.
So here's a poll question for anyone reading:
Should the Anthology have a seperate blog?
YES?----------------------------------NO?
I know that having to post your work in two seperate places can be confusing and possibly too much work. I don't want to cause a headache on this. I'll be using the Meggido story for my submission, so I could just post all updates here? But even if I put up links to other's pages and such will people actually check(Not a whole lot of traffic here afterall...)? I just don't know, so you guys let me know what you think. Hopefully I can have a descision on it made in time for the info email.

The closing of the Formal Art Blog
So there was no reason to have the "Formal Art Blog", pretty sure no one knows of it's exsistance, that and I don't update very often. The original idea was to have an online portfolio of sorts... but let's face it... blogspot is not the place to do that... something like that is much better suited to a website.
But in order to preserve the few posts I did have. I'll be copy-pasting them here so those that didn't see them will have a chance to look, and I can keep them for my records.
They go from earliest to latest--->

Portrait of someone you hate

Historical Fiction 6 Pages

Self Portrait

Bastardino

"Place" Cover Image

This is an image from the cover of a mini-comic that I made. It's strictly pencil and ink. I had been meaning to post it here for quite some time but thought that I had lost the image. Luckly I found it so that I could put it up here.
-------------------------------------------------------
Lady Bug
------------------------------------------------------
Snail
---------------------------------------------------------
And that's the end! Hope you enjoyed looking at some different stuff that you may have passed by.

Portrait of someone you hate
For digital illustration we were given the assignment of creating a portrait of someone that we hate. While honestly I don't really dislike anyone enough to hate them, I'm not too fond of Paris Hilton, so that was who I chose.
Both were done in illustrator.

Historical Fiction 6 Pages
I had thought up quite a large story for a what was supposed to be a simple project so I just did a six page excerpt from it.
To kind of lead you into what the story is about so you're not completely confused: it's set in a fictional 1930's America where Vampire's are basically living "with" humans. Different clans an factions exist among the vampires, but the leading human organizations aren't governmental based like you would expect, instead the different Gangster families are leading in terms of power.
The main character Hayden was saved by an elderly vampire when he was young and lived with him until the old man died, but his death was not a natural one. The one responsible for the old Vampire's death is a very powerful vampire by the name of Georgiano. Hayden leaves on a journey to take down Georgiano and finds friends along the way, gradually building a team that will take down Georgiano once they find him. At this point in the story, only Glenn and Charlotte have been gathered, each for their own reasons, but they all share the common goal of wanting to destroy Georgiano.
Pen and Ink, no photoshop.

And we're back!
You may or may not of noticed that I've neglected this blog the past month or so *nervous laughter* Well I could make excuses and such but really, it was a kind of post-graduation slump... I'm not entirely out of it yet, but I think that if I keep working on things it will get better with time. Or at least I hope so.
Here's some sketches that I've been meaning to post.

FAN ART!
No, not by me! My wonderfully talented friend Asuka from Japan has done an awesome fan art for Looking Glass!

T-T had to shrink the image! One of these days I'll learn how to manipulate the blogger templates in HTML so I can post larger images!
Check Asuka's website HERE! It's also in the links list if you ever want to reefer to it later :)
Also, Since the first chapter takes place in the past (kinda) If/when I do the second Chapter Liam will have his pinz-nez and his old hair style. So yeah, there's that.

Senior Show
So I graduated at last. Yes, I finally did it. MCAD grads have their own Senior shows, so I thought I'd share some photo's of mine. They're pretty crappy and don't even get the whole set up, but just to give you an idea of what it was like:

I got stuck with the 3rd floor... My wall was slanted, with a window and a pillar... but I made the most of it. I used the table to close off the unusable area and nailed a hook for a trench coat to the pillar to make it look less obtrusive.

and the actual work! It was accompanied by a book too so that you could read 15 pages of story. I just hung 8 on the wall due to space constraints.
All in all, MCAD was worth it... although students loans are a little more that I had previously thought... eheh... heh... ugh....
Anyway, I made lots of wonderful friends, met awesome teachers, and turned out a lot of work(even if I wasn't happy with even 50%) I came so far distance wise as well, it was strange living away from my family at first, but eventually Minneapolis became a second home.
I'll be posting the first 15 pages for you guys to read soon. I was just going to do the first 8, but you should be able to read all that I was offering for my Senior show, it just seems fair after all. Stay tuned!

Exclaimations
Did this awhile(ages) ago, but it felt apropriate to post since this is basically how I feel about my school work and life right now. But since I'm graduating I suppose that's how it's meant to be...
I'll be able to post the mascot stuff soon(maybe this week even *gasp*), and the first 8 pages or so of Looking Glass, the other 22 will be in the anthology, sorry about that...

Also I'm doing the mascot for an online store, I'm going to ask if I can post process and finished work etc. to show you all.
Also I have not been checking peoples blogs lately '~' after school is done you guys are going to get a flood of backlogged comments from me, just giving you a heads up :)

BURST! Anthology and Looking Glass Cover
I have recently been invited to join the Comic Anthology BURST! for it's first issue and if all goes well, subsequent issues. This will be my first legitimate contribution to the comic world so I'm super excited. Marc who's in charge is also very nice and is very flexible which has helped more than he knows I'm sure :) anyway, you can visit the BURST! blog here and check out the other people who are involved with it.
I'm going to be submitting the first chapter of Looking Glass, which is my senior project so it won't be going up online like I had previously promised. I may be able to swing the first few pages though depending on what Marc says. I can post the illustrations and such as he only wants b&w for the book... unless I'm wrong about that too '~'
Anyway, here's the cover page, it took way too long for no reason...

as you can see, Alice's hair color has changed from the last time you saw her. It's a marked improvement in my opinion and honestly was the color I wanted to make her hair from the beginning. I have no idea what possessed me to make her hair pink earlier...
Anyway, Alice and Liam are all set to solve some crimes! You guys will be able to buy the story of their first meeting in delicious print this year :) Chapter two will introduce the third main character, Felix Reed, and FBI agent. I'll do a proper post later introducing the story and characters for the world of Looking Glass.
I'm going to start working on a Web Site once I'm done with the first chapter also, so it'll be easier to navigate things, but since I know jack about html it will take some time... I'll keep you posted!

At the Beach
They'll still argue even if the object of their affection is in a bikini and they're all on vacation. Lol, I just love Darcy and Alec :D
I don't think it looks right though =_=' I wish I was better at realistic looking coloring... ah well... practice right? Also does Adele's ass look too small or am I just going crazy from staring at this picture for too long? *sigh* I haven't done a Meggido picture in forever though so I'm glad I've done something for it....
...
...should probably be doing senior project instead though... eheh... heh... yeah...

Meggido News and Information blog has been REMOVED
Okay, so I actually just went and deleted the Meggido News and Information blog. For anyone that linked to it, please take the link down as it leads to nowhere. I realized I just didn't need it so it's gone now. there was only like one substantial post anyway so I know it won't be missed.
Character Profiles
Below is a post from the Meggido News blog. I'm thinking about taking that blog down since it complicates things and I should just get a website for this kind of stuff(Or pay someone to make one for me...). So without further ado:
_____________________________________________________________________
Since I realized this was long overdue and I wanted anyone who stumbled on my blog to know about my characters and the story that this blog focus's is on.
(At the moment the profile pics are just clips from from previous illustrations, but I will be making some specific ones to use later)
THE MAIN CHARACTERS
SUPPORTING CAST
_____________________________________________________________________
And that concludes the re-posting. I added 2 extra characters and now everyone has an image by their name. Sorry that some of them aren't colored... really, Dean and Allia should be on here too... but for some reason I can't find the scans :<
