Skate Girl

I've realized that so many of the images I've been posting are all pixelly because I don't put them into photoshop first and do the "save for web" option because it took so long to scan all the images, I got lazy and just did save as. Thus the images are huge and when I re-size in Blogger they get all pixeled out.
Well I'll try and be more on top of things from now on and post pictures that have been "saved" properly.

So now I'll post what I drew last night when Alicia and Dan were playing Smash.





Cleaned up the images and just stuck a simple background on (I didn't draw the background image btw.) Her hair came out a little chunkier than intended -_-'

Group sketch inspired by watching too much Ghost in The Shell SAC, can you tell?



Originally I was going to make an army of these, but only did 5 characters. I hadn't done fan art in awhile and wanted to do something cute, so I chose to draw some of my favorite male video game characters as chibis.

Missing Top Image

Since the top image always felt a little off to me I'm changing it. Don't know when I'll be posting the new one. I apologize for the lack of one for the time being.

Another big problem with it was the fact that the characters in the top image weren't from Meggido -_-'
They were from a story I was coming up with in High School.

Anyway, I'm gonna post them here just to keep track of them.




This one wasn't really used, but was an alternate for the one above it.

Adele and Ezekiel

Adele and Ezekiel are "siblings" I use quotations because Adele was adopted into his family. They're both 20 and are relatively close, more so when they were younger.
Since Adele was traumatized as a child and didn't talk, Ezekiel would always be around her trying to help her. eventually after an incident she ends up speaking again due to his help.
In fact she sings a particular song that Ezekiel likes very much.

Adele's singing the song in question and Ezekiel is trying to sing along. this is actually a concept for a scene that will happen later.

As for Ezekiel, I don't even have a concept for his default outfit, so he's just in simple clothing.

Adele has had a few outfit changes in terms of her default outfit.

this is the old one. I've decide that she'll only have this while with Dean and Allia instead of the entire story.

This is the new one. The shirt is going to be a little smaller though, yes there will be cleavage -_-'
As for her shoes, they're sandles now and not boots. she'll get the outfit from Galilee after she joins the crew of the Alto.

MCAD style and other things

So for my roommates class she had to draw MCAD style. I felt like doing it too... although Alec doesn't seem to much different... or really like MCAD style...

Claus and Penelope looking dramatic. Seward down there in the corner looks rather crazy, I just wanted to draw the expression since I don't do it often, and since he's a villan of sorts it seemed appropriate. Also a profile of Dean is slightly cut off at the bottom.

Since I've been working on a 1930's themed comic lately, I wanted to draw Lillia in a flapper dress.

And Lastly, a pencil of a digital illustration that I'll be coloring. We were given a list of things to choose from and then make a themed illustration from it. I chose "from scorched skyscrapers men grew wings", okay, I know she's a girl, but it's not that big of a deal right?

Wanted Poster Concepts

At some point or another, part of Horace's crew is going to get wanted posters like Adele. While Adele's will be a mug shot from her military photo, Melena's and Darcy's will be taken in mid-action. Here's what I've got so far.

During the Rhein Arc there's a high speed chase to the Airship Port, I wanted it to seem like the photo had been taken during that time after the group has been in a few fights. Darcy is communicating to Galilee on the ship to get it ready for them all to take off.

I haven't talked about Melena much yet, but she has a really bad temper when she's angry, the idea with this one was that she turned and actually saw the photographer as they took the picture. Horace is in the back because he wanted to be in the picture too.

Colaborative Story Rough Concepts

3 of us are planing on working on a collaborative story at some point in the future, it all started when we were at Tango sushi talking about how we should become the next CLAMP.
Basically it's about a clock shop, time travel, and 3 guys who inherit an equal part of property from an old man that none of them are related to.
We each thought up one of the main characters, mine being the youngest and still in high school whereas the others are adults with jobs... or in the case of Alicia's character, he can't seem to keep himself employed.
My character, Noah(Yes i'm recycling a name again...) is stupid, and positive, this helps to balance the other 2 main characters that are far from both of those descriptive words.
We had planned to all adapt a style to draw in so that we could all feasibly do any page.

first I drew an original idea, then Francesca and Alicia both drew him in their style.

After adapting to the uniform shared style(kinda) this is how he came out, Francesca also drew her character Clive on the same page in that style.

then we decided to try doing different aspects of the comic to try and get it done faster. Francesca was going to look for backgrounds, Alicia would flesh out more of the story, and i would start with thumbnails for actual pages. Here they are:

Basically just introducing the 3 main characters and getting them to the clock shop.
Unfortunately this story has been put on hold, but it hasn't been forgotten. You may see more from this story in years to come.

Lack Of Power Cord

Just some random stuff since my computer still needs a new powercord.

These are the main male characters (although Horace isn't there...or Ezekiel...) As you can see this is quite old since Claus and Darcy's hair is different now.

Leroy and I each drew our own versions of ALIEN, can you guess which is mine? Also notice the fishtaco.

Character for an online RP that River, Me, and Alicia created, but forum got hacked by some jackass. Anyway, I plan on recycling him in a later story sometime, I liked him even though he was a jerk and apears a little emo.

For the Same RP as the character above. She was actually recycled as one of the main villians for Meggido. But was changed so drastically I'm not even sure that I can say that she was based on her anymore... okay... lets just say that they have the same name and that's all.

And while I'm at it, here's River's character from that same RP. I wish he was better done -_-' anyway, there he is.

Animation 1 Final

This was my intro to animation final back in 2005. Even though it took forever, it's clearly just sketches/pencils so I felt it qualified to be here.
It's a silly little story. The music is from the Anime Slayers Try.

Maybe you don't know the nendoroid line of figures... but basically their super cute chibi figures that can have their facial expressions changes and come with props. I had just gotten my Death Note L, one the week that I drew these. I just decided to do some VERY loose concepts. I like the Darcy one, but Adele feels a little off...

Samurai Story

These are the sketches I made this past summer for a prospective story I was working on. It was about a girl who meets the wandering ghost of a samurai, and she's the only one who can see him. There was much more to it, but I won't go into details now.
It was set in Japan, in the real world, presumably in modern times, with the obligatory flash backs of course.
Anyway, the main character was named Alice, and the Samurai was Ren.

The idea with Alice was, Big eyes, short eyebrows, and bangs that showed her forehead.

Took me forever to get Ren's face right, but I finally did it here. Also Suou is looking pretty realized as well.



Experimenting with body types for Ren. I had wanted to make him more muscular with broader shoulders than most of my male lead characters. Didn't quite go where I wanted him to.

Ren (top left) kept getting younger and younger, he was supposed to be a man who died in his early twenties. Ayako(bottom) makes her first appearance.

Interacting concept sketches. The top one has more of the body type that I had been planning for Ren. I liked the two of these characters together, their personalities were fun to write.

I may come back to this story some day. But for now it will remain at this sketch stage. The problem is, is that I have too many stories that I want to write, so I'll get to this one some day. Just don't know when.
